Hey, I'm a little late to the discussion here, but I read all the posts and was just curious if you ever got it going? I am fixing to tackle the a/c on my 2000 ranger. I hope it goes better than your experience. Anyways, just curious if it is fixed now.

Nope. I'm suspecting it's the compressor, as the sealing portion of the shaft was pretty chewed up and I suspect that's why the seal kit didn't take.
