I’ve read the threads on using other rims/tires from other vehicles. I am not familiar or understand all the measurements to figure out what will work without modifications. I don’t want to get something and it be wrong or need work I can’t do. This is my sons truck and the current rims/tires need to be replaced. It has factory 16inch alloy wheels with 245/75/16

Does anyone know any exact swap outs? JEEP,ford, or anything? 17’s,18’s,20’s?
Please help if anyone knows for sure we need some ASAP.

Have a look at the following link... it's from the Tech Library here on the site. It's a pretty comprehensive list of all factory Ranger wheels and it also helps understand how wheels are measured. It also has a list of other vehicles that share the 5X4,5 bolt pattern.

Ford Ranger Wheel Fitment Guide - The Ranger Station

It would also help to know what you're trying to get out of these new wheels... bigger tires? Is it a 4x4? you want to lift it... or lower it? ETC...

Thanks for your reply. Yes I read that thread several times. I am by far a mechanic and being as honest as I can reading all over it just confused me. This truck needs tires ASAP and a rim replaced. If someone has swapped say like a Jeep Wrangler wheel/tire with no modifications required Thats what I’m trying to find out. No shop local has rims to fit but finding used seems easier if i knew exactly what to look for.

this 99 XLT is the off-road 4x4. It has 245/75/16 tires now. Keeping it stock but If there is a exact swap from any other type of vehicle that bolts right up with nothing needed is what I’m looking for help on. Any wheel size from 16-20 if they fit. Ive seen pictures of even 18” jeep wheels on a 4x4 ranger and said bolted right up but no info from what yr/model etc
