so I have a 99 ranger xlt 2wd ext cab auto trans 3.0 engine

putting a different trans in the truck.

TC went in transmission first and clicked in 2 times.

put trans up to engine...everything lined up...

put 1 bolt on either side of trans. ( where the alignment pins are on the block)

i turn the flexplate with a screwdriver to make sure everything still spins freely.

as i tighten these 2 bolts down it gets harder and harder to turn by hand.

i stopped and backed them off so i didn't ruin the pump...any ideas on what it could be or what i should try?

thanks. Ryan.:icon_confused:

You should try putting the converter in the rest of the way. It's 3 clicks.

i was told it is only 2... i had it in there 3 clicks earlier i think but when i turned the converter it sounded like it was hitting the bell housing. idk...ill try three clicks...

should the 3rd click go in like the 1st 2....

spin & push....1st click....spin & push a little more...2nd click...

should the 3rd be the same way???:icon_confused:
