On my project truck the front drive shaft has been off for a while, and the cage and the balls have come out. Does any body know the proceedure to reassemble the joint or atleast the sequence of the parts to assemble it?
TIA
John

The cage should be part of the driveshaft itself. If it's come off, re-attach the cage first. Spray the cage and balls down and make sure their clean.

Then coat it with CV axle grease. I find that coating the balls in grease helps them stay inside the cage. Insert the balls inside the cage one by one until they're all in.

Attach to transfer case output. You may have the hold some of the balls in the cage until the cage is sufficiently inside the tcase output.
