i bought a 98 reg cab 2wd long bed 4.0 for the engine(tago in my 95),but the truck is in really good shape cept the frame i saw where someone did a xtxa cab swap.sooo, i was thinking about swappin cab, engine and all the wiring from the 98 onto my 95.i know the cab is a lil longer on the 98,no big deal. is the cab a direct bolt on?? im guessin the rear cab mount might be back a lil further back. do any of the mounts line up? the 98 is a automatic, 95 is a 5spd, anyone know if the brake/clutch bracket will swap over to the 98.....and yes the 2.9 is still runnin in the 95 :)

I will be curious to see what someone says also. On the full size trucks you can't swap a extended cab onto a regular cab frame unless you use a body lift at the same time. On the full size trucks there is a frame kick-up behind the cab. The frame kick-up is further back on a extended cab frame to give it clearance. But people have used body lifts to lift the extended cab up high enough to clear the regular cab frame kick-up. Then of course you have wheel base and bed length issues to deal with.

Don't know if this is true on the rangers. You can go out and take a look if you are close to both trucks.

I removed one of your threads... it was really the same post. No need to have two separate threads asking the same questions.

I don't have the answers you're looking for... but I'm sure someone will come along with some of the information you want.
