98 ranger what year v8 explorer do i need ?

hi im new I just got on here I got a stock 98 ranger 4 banger want a v8 but what explorer years fit in ranger and does dashboard and door panels fit I know engine will require wire harness and cpu swap as well but im looking for a explorer now to do this swap? like I want to put seats and dash and all that good stuff please advice thank u

The dash is the same as your Ranger, the door panels do not fit.

For variations in fuel system and speedometer signal location (the only main year to year differences) refer to the article top dead center of the TRS homepage, showing the Explorer 5.0 upper intake manifold. It has a handy table inside.

It looks like 96 to 98 explorers. Go to the top of the page and hit the "info-technical" button > engine and fuel tech > then look near the bottom of the page under engines swaps.

ya got stung 6 times by ground bees I found a nest but ya im still looking I found a rear end for a couple hundred bucks so im gonna get that this week and rebuild it and paint it found a 97 explore5.o still inspected and garage kept 2500 thou found a parts explorer for 1500 im looking but damn I wanted to put door panels in it too wonder whats different ? but for now got the djm lowering 4/5 ordered front and rear roush ie factory sway bars ordered and street scene hidden hitch and folding plate ordered now need to get rearend and rebuild it before I can lower it but it is in motion peace
