Long story short..
I hydrolocked my old 2.3 and replaced it with a like new 2.5 out of a 99.

I keep getting bank1 too lean. I replaced the o2 sensors thinking that might be the problem, same crap. Its reading lean and dumping fuel.
I'm getting around 15mpg highway.
I checked everything for vacuum leaks and unhooked the EVAP system because I kept getting code 1443, same crap.

So I did some research on alldata and almost all of the pins are in the same places.

If I was to put injectors from a 2.5 in my truck and swap over to the 98 PCM, that should fix the problem I believe.
Or even just swap out the PCM.

But heres the problem. What PCM do I need?

I did a search and came up with this.
From the little I could find, I need one of the bottom two. :icon_confused:

Just for shits and giggles. Heres the "research" I did.
97 pinout.

98 pinout.

The only things I really need to know is what exact PMC I should get, any of the ones listed would work, but what one is the best.

I might get a CEL for a few things that my truck is missing, but I'm sure I could figure out a work around.

They only changed a few things that I'm aware of on the 98's, including the evap system and a tank pressure valve. Its under the bed like the new rangers, mine is under the hood by the battery.

If I have to move some pins around, it would only take a few minutes max.
No use in me wasting money on a wiring harness unless I could get it cheap.
