Negative, the explorer doors are taller.

dosent quite kill my idea yet, do they match to the same body limes and hinges as a ranger? i assume they wouldnt, but i want to cut them up and make half doors.

Hinges yes (other than handles and latches, that's the only simularities) measure from the center of the bottom bolt on the top hinge to the center of the top bolt on the bottom hinge, the explorer is 9 1/4"

But dont get excited yet.

As far as body lines, not even close.
It would be 10x easier to cut up a set of Ranger doors if your making 1/2 doors.

The overall lenth of the door (off of a 2dr EX) is 48 3/8". Doors from a 4dr are 8" shorter but have a nasty curve on the back edge.

Here is a pic of the difference

That's only a pic of the different Explorer doors, but you should still be able to see that the body lines are nothing like the ones on your Ranger.

I'm known for pulling off what everyone else says is impossible, but not even I would atempt putting Ex doors on a Ranger esspecialy since doors from a '94-2011 will fit yours, so if you want to make 1/2 doors there is no shortage of good used doors at your local wrecking yard.

are the window regulators different as well? Have access to a set of power 96 explorer doors and wouldn't mind if the windows on my 95 splash went up and down on their own.

The regulators them selves are totally different but most Ford power window motors are interghangable. I just dont know if the motors will work on the manual Ranger regs or not. If your going to try it all I can say is watch your fingers those things are spring loaded and pack a punch.

J.C.Whitney used to sell universal power window kits but they where a bit ugly 'cause the motor mounted outside the door panel.
