97 doors on a 94 ?

Hi guys. I got a set of mint 97 manual doors here that I want to put on a 94. They're even the same colour (black), so it would work real nice. Problem is that all the info I can find says ranger doors from 95 to 05 are a match. Before I start pulling doors off to try, does anyone know why 97 doors wouldn't fit a 94?
Another thing is boxes - the info I found says they match from 93 to 08. Anyone know that to be true, and why not the later years ? Is it just something like taillights ?

I am not 100% sure but I think the only difference between 93-94 and 95-08 doors is the door panels themselves. I always thought you could just swap out the panels.
Since the panels are so easy to remove I would pull the panel off your truck and see if it fits the newer doors. That way you don't have to unnecessarily remove the door.

The 97 door will fit.My 87 is running around with an 07 door right now its down right funny how little changed on the ranger over the years. You can also have the entire front end from a 1989-2011 Ranger on your truck. Now as far is the box if concerned im not so sure on that (still have the original no rust 87 box) One thing you could do is measure the bolt locations on the newer box and compare to your box. Im almost willing to bet it fits.

I have a facelift front end on my '94 with old style lights and grill. Perfect fit besides the pinstriping. I would imagine the doors are some of the many interchangeable components in these trucks. I see a whole lot of mixed era Rangers I see in my area, including my own!

Do you mean your '97 has an '07 on it? There is no way the '07 door will fit on an '87 unless you changed the whole cab.

93 and up should fit.

the 92 and down trucks where a whole different cab.
