Hello all! Just starting my 5.0 swap on my 97 2wd ext cab ranger. The old 3.0 blew a head gasket and water pump and not to mention the tranny is garbage hahah. So I got a 302 efi motor from a 93 f150 complete with engine harness and computer as well as a tranny which is an AOD or the newer version. I don't know how to tell the difference between the two though so if someone could enlighten me with how I could do that. It has a harness coming out from it so not sure if that makes a difference or not. I'll post pics tomorrow when I'm out in the garage. So my plan is to get the oil relocate kit and the hedmen swap headers. My question is, will these headers work if I use the sn-95 motor mounts. And will I still need those motor mount plates with those mustang motor mounts, or will they bolt to the chassis without the plates? I would like to use the f150 wire harness. I found a blog online that thins it out, guy swapped a 5.0 into a 66 mustang. So I plan on thinning out the harness to the basics to get the motor running and driving. Suppose that's all for now. I'll have more questions in the future of course but small steps for now haha. Again I'll post pics of what I've got tomorrow! Thanks guys!!
