95-01 Explorer axles, V6 vs V8 differences????

looking on car-part for axles. they have separate listings for V6 and V8 axles.
any idea what the differences are?
each category has the same selection of ratios.

The main difference is the V8's had traction bars above the axles, the V6 doesn't, all it is axle wise is a pair of ears sticking out the top of the tubes to go to the traction bars... before you think too much about adding them to a Ranger for that they'd be useless unless you went spring under, believe me, I've thought about it, the geometry just doesn't work out, wouldn't do anything unless you moved them under the axle... they're kinda weenie anyway, maybe tomorrow I'll take a pic of the pair of links I have in the garage, it's likely too dark to get a pic of either of my V8 Explorers...

I had seen the traction bars before, didn't realize they were V8 only.

so for a Ranger app the cheaper V6 is the way to go for me.
