94 standard cab Dash Vent Light

I have a 94 standard cab and there are two "vents" directly above the radio. The vent on the driver's side is not actually a vent because it's blanked off (looks factory), and it has a small, red indicating light in it. I have never seen it lit, but I've seen some wiring under the dash that makes me think someone had some sort of security system on the truck. Any ideas? Is the red light factory?

The panel was there for the 4WD control switches, not sure what 2WD had there
In 1995 dash was changed, two vents and Knobs for 4WD and heater controls

So single light could be custom, maybe added alarm system
