im 15 im getting my dads 94 ranger for my birthday, and i want to lift it. i know some stuff about cars and trucks as far as engines go, but i dont know jack squat about lift kits or any of that. but its a 1994 ranger 4x4 and i was thinking about 3 inches of both suspension and body lift, and maybe 35s, but if anyone can suggest lift kits that are good, but still on the cheaper side, i would really appreciate it

Thanks,
- Jordan

the body lift will be the cheapest to start with. maybe $100 or even less if you find one on sale. that would give you a really good start. doing that first will give you more room to work underneath when it comes time for the suspension lift. it also will leave the ride stock so you won't have to worry about alignment, steering issues, and such. the PAW kit is good. and for another $50 or so, you can replace the old body bushings for new ones for an improvement in the ride. another good thing is it can easily be done in a weekend with time left over with the help of your dad and a buddy.
best of luck with your build and Welcome to TRS !!!!!!

i know my questions probably sound stupid but hey, im here to learn about this stuff before i go buying parts. but i went on skyjackers website, found a suspension lift kit for my truck, an underneath the picture of the kit, theres a list of 20 other parts (pitman arms, radius arms, sway bar link, stuff like that) do i need to get anything else, or is everything in the kit?
like i said, i dont know jack squat about this stuff.

your questions aren't "stupid" at all.
stupid is when you know doing or saying something is wrong and you do or say it anyway.
ignorance is not knowing.
asking questions gives yourself an opportunity to learn.
once learned, it gives you the opportunity to teach others.

please, ask!

just my $.02.
