So, after a total Engine swap on my 94 Ranger. 4.0L OHV 4X4 Auto I found this part that I obviously took off the original Engine but after Re-install this hose is left? Interestingly, I couldnt find where it goes but also, the truck does not leak anything anywhere? I have called Ford to try and identify but with no avail? Its small but its the one part I didnt label and it goes nowhere? I guess while I was disassembling it was abvious but now? No CLue. If anyone has any idea what this hose goes to that would be great, and thanks!

Round.
My credo
I poop in the furnace.
Yea looks like a PCV hose to me, either to the valve itself or the fresh air vent on the opposite valve cover.

Yes in Ford Diagrams it does look like the PVC hose. I never disconnected that hose from either engine. And in fact it doesnt look like that hose compared to either engine. Back to square one, lol. Thanks

Nothing is leaking so this excludes a water hose. look at the brake booster, and the heater, are they missing anything? you say it runs good, so that eliminates a vacuum line. Can't be too much else that a hose that size will fit onto.

You have overlooked an easy hose to replace, however, there aren't many places for a hose that size to fit. double check all the areas.

good luck and post a pic when you find the culprit.

cheers

My credo
Toonces drives a Ranger . . . . just not very well.
Looks like a molded hose, with OEM clamps. Is there a part number on it, by chance? One of my '94 Explorers still has a couple of hoses with Ford part numbers printed on them.
