My credo
"Sic gorgiamus allos subjectatos nunc."
So, I "fixed" my passenger side valve cover gasket and that's where the story begins....
Took off the coil pack (correct me on jargon through out this plz) unplugging the 6 or 8 pin connector that goes in the side of that. Unplugged the condenser under that and unplugged the three spark wires going to the passenger side of the engine from that coil block that mounts on the steel bracket that curves up over the manifold (labeled the spark wires before they came off). Did my gasket thing plugged it all back in. Now, my 94 xlt that used to run great albeit with like 14mpg runs rough. Not backfiring / coughing rough. But there's a vibration at idle that wasn't there before rough. I stuck my inductive timing light on those wires and sure enough the passenger side has a sorta "syncopated rhythm" particularly at idle. At 1000 rpm it evens out a bit but... any below that it's just poor.

Where should I start on diagnosing what happened? Wires and plugs are about 8 months old.
