I came across a post on here a few months back about changing the timing gears to a different set from something else that changes the mechanical timing and improves power? I cannot for the life of me seem to find the article or stickies anymore. I think I'm losing my mind. Anyone have the link so I can find it?

On a '94 you are going to have two different places to set timing, the base time that can be set with the distributor and the timing that is controlled by the engine computer. If you mean replacing the timing gears themselves to where you need a new timing chain, not heard about that one. default timing should be set to 10 degree before top dead center and you can use the timing marks on the harmonic balancer to do it providing the balancer is not bad.
