This past weekend I put 2" leveling coils on my '93 Xlt, and I'm pretty sure that I need new shocks. My current ones are limiting the lift of the springs and they are completely maxed out, so I'm going to be buying new ones. So, I have a couple questions. First, What /stroke should I buy? And second, What brand should I go with? I'm on a pretty tight budget, but I would like the best value and a little bit of adjustability if possible. Thanks in advance, and I can take pictures if needed

I was actually told to use shocks that a 4x4 ranger would use. Then i found out that they use the same shock so i still dont know. Im interested to see what people have to say.

Theres something here about F-150 shocks:

But yeah. I am wondering what should be used, b/c I plan to do a 2in leveling lift on my truck as well. An RRanger182, about how much actual lift did you gain from the lift coils and what coils did you use? Got any pics as well? Sorry for slight thread hijack.

Yeah I can take pictures, I will do that tomorrow for sure. I ended up getting almost 3 inches over my stock coil that was still in there, but it should be more with a longer shock actually. And the coils were 2 inch leveling coils (I was told), but I think they may be 4 inch but I really have no idea seeing as my stock coils were completely worn out.

These are the pictures. Sorry about the crappy angle but the sun wasn't cooperating at any other angle. And it's sitting kind of weird because I'm parked in a sloped spot haha. I'll take better pictures sometime though
