hey guys,
new to the ranger station and hoping you guys can help. i have recently bought the lower fog light valance for my 94 ranger. I have ran into a few problems in the process. 1) my truck didnt come factory with the fog lights so i have no rocker switch. 2) I can't find the brackets that the fogs snap into ANYWHERE. Ive checked junkyards google searched for hours. any help on where i might order some from would be greatly apprecitated.

Thanks,

good luck with that. they are so hard to find. most people just fab up there own mounting brackets. as for the switch. its an easy task if you have any wiring ability. you can wire the lights a number of different ways. if you tap into the brown wire going to the headlight switch they should only come on if you have your running lights or head lights on

Have you checked LMC for the brackets? I know they sell the valance so its just a thought.

What are you usin for fog lights? Did you find OE ones?

FYI: I bought mine from O'Reillys, they are actually implement lights & I made brackets from 1" flat stock. As far as wirin, I just put a toggle switch where I wanted it.

Here's my homemade brackets I made out of angle iron. I just took the bottom bolt out of the bumper and put it in there. My fog lights are the "12 volt work light's" from Harbor Freight. I paid 6 bucks a piece for them.

Check part-out threads to find those brackets. it will take time, be patient. They are rock solid, probably overkill for fogs, but I know the fogs won't go anywhere if I'm hitting anything like snowbanks or bushes on the trails.

The wiring shouldnt be too bad. My 94 didnt have fogs but the pre-wiring was all there. Behind the dash I found the connector and tapped into it and used a switch from an auto-parts store. A relay needs to be installed into the power distribution block in the engine bay. Then you'll need the stock pigtails to plug the fogs into just behind/below the headlights. Do a search because I took a few pics when I tackled this project and installed ProComp 55's into the stock fog bracketry.
