Hi, I've got a 92 ranger I'm putting together for my ol'lady and am having a hard time finding a larger yoke to accommodate the new drive shaft I just had built... (Dumb, I know!) The dude that owns the local driveline shop told me that a larger yoke would be available and if for some odd reason it wasn't then he could find a I joint for anything! Well now.... He says he can't...
I believe I have the factory t case, it's an 8.8 rear axle and like the title says it has a 5.0L and an AOD TRANS... At this point Im unsure what in the hell to do... I just want to get this thing drivable for my ol'lady I'm not sure if I should try and find a different t case, driveshaft, yoke???? Any help is greatly appreciated...

Are you talking about the yoke splines where they enter the case? Is it a slip yoke or fixed U joint?

I'm pretty sure the only one available is the yoke for a 1310 U joint, if he made it for a 1330 joint that conversion joint is available, I have one in the front of my Explorer...

Going to a different T case would change things too, the easiest to bolt in is the 4406 out of a '97-03 F150 but the rear output is a slip spline instead of fixed yoke so the rear shaft would have to be remade...

Yeah, its a fixed yoke... Tbh, i cant quite remember what u joints fit the yoke... or driveline for that matter, sorry it has been sitting out there awhile, i kinda got disgusted with it after this whole mess round... I'll take some measurements when I get home tonight from work.... What does everyone else do when doing a v8 swap?

Which transfer case is it? Most of the fixed yoke cases were from Broncos and used a double cardan joint, which won't accept a standard universal joint.
