My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
We do not look down on other brands of powerplants or other parts being put in Rangers. Many have done it. There are multiple GM swaps posted in this forum. There are VW engine swaps. There are people with Dodge diesel swaps and many more. Personally, I have some miscellaneous Mercedes, BMW and Volvo parts on my truck.

If you read enough around here, you will see that we like to joke around and have fun. Unfortunately, on the internet, you don't see a person's facial expressions to help interpret the words that are typed. Emojis, memes and gifs help with that. But it is still an imperfect medium. It works best when we wear a bit of armor and let the small things bounce off instead of letting our feelings get hurt easily.

We don't go for personal attacks here. That's why I asked for civility when someone (not Dirtman) started name-calling earlier.

Now, let's get back to Rangers and fun.

I'm not usually much for talk, but I do look at your thread when something comes up in it. I like it so far.
It's your build and you can put whatever you want in it.
I'm glad you decided to keep up with the progress posts. And I think even without replies you will be really glad you did....2 or 3 years down the road when you've forgotten all the stuff you did to it.
I know my build thread really helped remind me of all that I accomplished when I was a bit down.

but feel as this forum is pretty biased on fords only. and the fact im building a ford with a gm power plant thats kinda looked down on in this little community.
Well I created the forum, and I like seeing projects that think outside the box, and people that build what they want regardless if it's popular or not.

I've featured Chevy powered Ranger's on the front page of this site:

I consider my build pretty cool and I try to post lots of progress posts and dont seem to get much feedback.

thats all. if I was building a prerunner with a carbed 302 things would be diff.

Yeah.....you might want to look under the hood of my rig....as a matter of fact...my rig having multi brand powertrain components on it predates trs..and internet car forums all together..

I sense more to more here. Maybe dirtball had it right the first time.

Hell...you built one of the best broncos I have ever seen Jim, and it had Honda parts in it.

This seems like preconceived notions not playing out....and forcing a narrative.

And it is a good one. It's a actually been on my mind more and more the last few years, especially after revisiting some books I read in my teens and early twenties to see now the things I could not then.

The just of this looks like attention whoring....but it's not...just that.

I am very grateful for the time you guys put into these build threads.

Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
What the paint gonna be when your done? Classic lowrider airbrush and lace and the whole 9? That's what you should do lol.

nah I am going to go ford raptor ruby red and pearl white two tone. red body line down and white body line up. I sprayed my old Chrysler Newport that was bagged with a white roof and gold lace. its a cool touch, but def more of an old full-size car lowrider style.

are there any guys on here who are lowrider guys who can gimme an idea on the flexible brake line from the frame to the rear axle? I have a lot of suspension travel in the rear with the air ride. and need an extra long hose to allow for the up and down travel. the stock hose is to short?

you should be able to mount the oem line to give you the travel needed with a step bracket.... i am pretty sure i have more travel then this will accommodate and it works pretty good.
