I like it! Can't wait to see how it turns out.

What did you use for motor mounts?

It's your truck. Build it how you want. Be different :D(y)

Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
Someone who swapped the right motor in for once! ? looking forward to seeing progress.

little more progress tonight, got the dash end caps all finished and the seat mounted and the seat back lowered to be below the bottom of the back window. because who likes looking thru a back window and seeing a seat?

The dash and tunnel look really good. I like the idea with the seats.. but I feel as if comfort in a seat that short in a regular cab ranger is going to be rather dependant on driver height. I'm 6'2 and need the seat all the way back in mine, if my seat was under the window my shoulders would be ON the window lol.

You need a 460 and the dash from a '68 Thunderbird.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
I like the BelAir dash. What possessed you to put that in there? Or even to measure and see if it would fit?

yea man, you def throw comfort out the window when you body drop a truck in my eyes, unless you do a stock floor..im not familiar with building frames so I have always done traditional ones..as for the seat it actaually sits pretty far back, im also over 6 ft and there is plenty of leg room front to back but not so much from top to bottom haha. I really wanted to lower the back of the seat so I don't see it when looking thru the back window into the truck. I wanted the dash to be the focal point rather then the seat. appreciate the love man.

honestly I am not sure what possessed me to do the Belair dash, I knew I wanted to do a dash swap, so while at Carlisle swap meet I was looking and all I could find was an old desoto dash and this Belair dash. so I brought this one home and it fit pretty damn good.

ill pass on the 460, I want reliability, fuel injection and 15 plus MPG, as far as the dash a thunderbird dash would have def been a really cool swap. but you kinda take what you get trying to find old clean dashes these days

got the body off today to touch up welds and start doing bodywork on the firewall and the rest of the truck. things are moving along well. one piece left to weld in under the cowl and ran outta welder gas. hope all of you are staying free and clear of the corona. I'm self isolating in my shop.
