Hope everyone's doing good today. Just a quick question and wondering because I have never seen it. A 90s style stainless exhaust that runs out the back of our trucks like the old Mustang had. You know where you can see the exhaust from the tire out . Tucked up clean. I have looked around and not seeing any. DOES anybody have a picture or have done this? My bed is off the truck and I'm trying to decide which way I'm going with an exhaust system I'm making.

My credo
I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!
It was actually the 5.0 LX exhaust you could see. The GT exhaust was mostly hidden by the ground effects and turned down right in front of the bumper cover.

I’ve seen what you’re talking about on plenty of truck. It always looks nice.

you're absolutely right about the LX. that's what I meant without a doubt. Got the bed off the truck and I'm fabbing up an exhaust system that I don't think I've ever seen before. Surely I can't be the only one that has turned a single into dual like this. I'm going to post pics for people to see that it's not very hard to get equal length pipes after the muffler. None of that has anything to do with the LX look on the ranger but I have yet to see any pictures of a square body Ranger with this LX setup.

20 years ago everybody was doing that. They still make kits that do that...

I had duals out the back on my F-150 and loved it until the tips fell off. Now I just have turndowns ahead of the rear axle.

When we were building the truck my dad thought that it looked a lot like something that Ford would have made. He wanted to Ranger GT emblems on the fender but we never did. That would be the main reason for the question I'm asking because if it looks really good then it would add to the factory performance look that Ford had in the 90s. It's just wild because I can never recall seeing this on any Ranger anywhere without some kind of angle or something.

Wow they sure do make it. I do not believe this was available through LMC or anywhere when we were building the truck back in 2011. But that's very close to what I'm putting together so obviously I'm not a genius. Haha very cool and I appreciate everyone's input on this.

04 Ranger.
If I run dual exhaust, what muffler will give me the best tone?
Read a bunch on the web but haven't heard anything (yet?).
Not into straight pipes or crackling. Not a slam. Just a preference.
It's a 6 and I'd like a throaty sound without attracting major attention.

I have some suspension work teed up and a few other dreams to chase.
I'll keep your feedback as notes.
Thanks.

Ford never did it from the factory.

I have duals on my Ranger but they are totally different and come down at sharp angles at each side of the bed.
