I'm gonna try to translate...

What's up bro! I'm in Sweden too!

Myself and the St. Paulie girls are tipping some brews about to get them all in the hot tub... C'mon over and we'll party like rock stars!

BTW... I have 1 of 38 first gens known to exist here... what whatttttttttttt!

Was that even close?
Your Swedish is flawless!!

When I search for parts first gen semes to be 83-92. Thats the stance the most part stores semes to take, and I thought that was based on the fact the parts is the same!? But it’s really hard to find any here in Europe. You can tell there wherent many 1st gen sold - small market. Of the 38 still registered, I wonder how many is in usable condition.

It would be cool to know how many STX in Sweden. Am I the only one? :icon_hornsup:

I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!
@bobbywalter

But in Fordland it is different than here. They are not wanting to know if a grille from a '88 will fit a '93 or something that varies between our generations.
In all reality, Ford only cares about what year the vehicle is... not generation.
You want to buy one... what model year is it?
You order parts... what year is it?
You bring it in for service... what year is it?

It gets complicated. Some stuff is the same but a lot of it isn’t. New front sheet metal, slightly tweaked bed, new interior, very different electrical system.

They probably just count when they can call it “all new!”

Opinions vary...

Wikipeda has 83-92 as first gens. Ford considered 83-97 first gens.
I wondered why everywhere else I go, (except here) my 1989 was called a "1st gen."

It is weird people do that because 88-89 was one of the biggest changes for the Ranger.

Only the basic cab shell (minus radiator support and cowl) and the basic shape of the bed (they changed the wheel arches) and tailgate were the same.

Different frame, radiator support, entire front clip, new interior, vastly different electrical system... yeah its the same truck.
