I got a bit done to it today.
Brake lines installed, but not bed yet.
Front drive shaft installed.
New FPR installed.
New fuel pump installed.
8 bolts put on the lift brackets that were missing.
Put a nut on the stupid exhaust manifold bolt!
The ProComp kit wasn’t a complete kit. It was missing a T for the front driver side. I didn’t get a picture. I’ll take one tomorrow of the brass T, I got from Napa.

I started it up tonight. It had a miss that lasted until I let it warm up, then shut it off and restarted it. Then the miss went away but it has a stutter still. It goes away when the engine is as a high idle but comes back once it idles down. I should have it ready to test drive tomorrow.

That's a bunch of progress! The test drive should give you a good idea of what needs to be tweaked/fixed.

I remember having to find a T for my brake lines as well, kind of a pain.

What radius arms are you going to be using?

Thanks! Yeah I’m thinkin it’s a sensor because it goes away when it’s in a high idle. I’m not sure what sensor yet, though. I’m gonna put seafoam in the fuel and maybe some down a vacuum line to see if it helps.

It was definitely a pain locating the T!

I plan on using the stock arms. I haven’t decided if I’m gonna use square tube or DOM. But either way, I’ll be using rebuildable heims. I’m excited to do it and compare the quality of the ride compared to stock.

So I drove it 10 miles to the gas station and back. The CEL is still on, so I pulled the codes again.
22- MAP or BARO signal out of range
51- Coolant temp too high
53- TPS signal too high
54- Intake Air Temp too High
57- Intermittent in Park/Neutral/ Switch or Neutral Pressure switch circuit – PNP or Transmissions
67-
Park/Neutral circuit fault – PNP
Transmission Manual Lever Position (MLP) sensor circuit – Transmissions
(M) Intermittent Park Neutral Position

Then there were 2 more pertaining to auto trans malfunctions. But I’m not worrying about those.

Also, it lacks power. I assume it’s due to the 3.55 gears and 31” tires but it may be in part, due to the TPS and MAP sensors being bad.

3.55 and 31's will make it feel sluggish I think.

This site has a lot of the values to test all the sensors.

Thank you! I guess I never thought about googling resistances. I was gonna buy new sensors and hope that fixed it lol.

I ordered gears and lockers today. I went with a spartan for the rear, a lock rite for the front, USA Standard gears for the rear and Dorman gears for the front. About $1250 on Ebay.
Edit: I went with 4.56’s incase I decide to go with 33’s in the future. I plan to be driving in snow a fair amount in the winters. I might wanna go with a wider tire that I can air down and ride on top of the snow some. Plus the rocky assed roads will be a little smoother.

Awesome. I had a lock rite in the rear of my truck for about 6 years before it wore out, they're good. 1250 altogether isn't bad at all 👍

Yeah I figure I won’t have to worry too much about replacing the rear locker when it wears out by that time lol. Another $250 and a couple hours, she’ll be back on the road.

Nice seeing all those part numbers posted. When I'm going through a thread and see a bunch of stuff that I may want to do it's frustrating when I don't know what parts they are!

This is looking like it's gonna be a sweet rig when it's done 👍

Thanks! I hope it is. I’ll be replacing the U-joints in the front end when I pull it out. I’ll be using spicer joints and I’ll post those too.
