Well did a quick trip in the mountains. One night with the boys. I like this tent so much more than my old one. It’s so much easier to put away.

Got home I swapped my auto hubs for manuals. Should have done yet years ago, but the wife didn’t want have to have to turn the hubs. I told her to get over it. lol haha

Well I don’t have much to report on. I’ve camp out of it twice now. I’m just working the bugs out. Adding things. Going to put a CB in it and add some more lights. I’m thinking about taking it to the bronco stampede in tri city’s Washington. Would be an almost 4 hour drive one way. We’ll see I’m not 100%.

The local 4x4 club did the barricade Jeep topless event bent my water can bracket. Haha I’ll have to redo it. Which is ok because I’m gonna add a 5 pound propane bottle mount on that side. I drove the bronco and the wife drove the ranger. Pretty cool!

Well I apologize for the photo dump. Took the B2 for my longest drive yet. 200 mile one way trip of solid freeway driving. Put 400 miles on the old b2 in two days. Didn’t miss a beat. Went down to the inland bronco show in Kennewick Wa. Got best in class for off-road bronco iis. I was the only b2 at the show. Haha Olwell. It was a fun two days. B2 pulled a solid 20 mpg. Really interested in what it is after my gears. But my two boys and me had a good time.

Well I didn’t want to spend 70 bucks on a propane mount. Sure nice to get the smell of propane out of the rig.

Well I got a notification my 9 inch 3rd member has shipped. Should be here around Monday. Well it’s time to get going on the front end. Pressure washed my already pulled third member. Got it pulled down. Ground down the old bearings to use as setup bearings. Got the 513s on the locker. I have to give it more back lash. I so I’ll be messing with this over the next few days. Also pulled apart my 9 inch. It’s down to the bare housing.

Well my arms are ready to go. For the most part. I’m still going to do new ball joints and I’m going to get the extreme adjustable camber/caster bushings. But that’s 94? F150 knuckles on a d35.

Well I wanted to make sure my disk brakes were going to work. So I mocked everything up. It all looks good. Tom’s off-road disk brake kit for the 9 in, chromoly axle shafts. Got the spring pads cut off, everything cleaned up. Tomorrow, my 3rd member should be here. Idk I might be be impatient tomorrow and throw my current 3rd member back in there and weld the pinion angle. We’ll see haha

Got my spring pads welded on shock mounts welded on. I went to town I forgot some brake cleaner. So tomorrow I’ll go and get some of that. Have to get that, get the tubes cleaned out again and the center section. And look at what came! They gave me a bucket! Pretty cool really! I can almost drive this tomorrow but I don’t think it’s gonna to work out. I have to get my tires mounted to the new rims. We’ll see anyways. Idk if the wife will let me escape all day. We’ll see haha I’m excited! Getting close!

Haha thanks! Funny you said that, after I posted this, I went back down to the shop, cleaned out the axle with gas and some Wd40. This oil isn’t going to be in there very long anyways. Put in the 3rd member. Installed the axle shafts. And filled it with oil, I wanted to make sure I had enough oil because I’d have to run to the big town. Which I had just enough! So tomorrow morning leave before everybody wakes up and get the tires and the rims into the tire store.

I start a new job on the 17th and I just really want it back together before that. I took a few months off, so that helps a little haha

Well just took it down the road. And wow, I can’t explain how much this helped. I really was questioning my decision on this diesel. Not now, I knew it needed gears but man I can live with this thing now. I can use 5th gear now and it has plenty of power while there. It’s no speed demon, but it doesn’t loose speed like it did, it moves out so much better. I would like to say I wish I could have done this sooner but I did order the gears 4 months ago brought had this thing running lol now to do the break in cycle on the gears and I’m just going to pull it right back in and do the front. No sense in dicking around. I like the rims, there 8 in wide instead of the 10 in wide that the old ones are. It will narrow it up a little.

The rains let up today. Opened up the tent to let it air out. Moved my new used fridge to the other side, wired in power for it. We’ll see how long it runs. Thanks @4x4junkie the whynter fits. It’s tight but the door closes!
Very cool setup!

Glad to see the fridge fit. :)

Being an "Only BII" does have it's perks lol. I've long gotten used to it myself.

Thanks 4x4junkie!

I actually ordered a different one that was one inch longer because new those whynter fridges are expensive new. But this used one came up forsale in the next town offer. The one I ordered doesn’t fit lol the whynter fits great and it’s a good size.
