ok I don't have the parts in hand to verify but would it be possible (with minor machining to put a drivers side spindle upside down on the passenger side and vise versa? I could be wrong but by pictures it looks as if the shaft on the spindle is closer to the bottom.:icon_confused: if I'm or if this has been covered please forgive me

I haven't seen any pics that make it look like the spindle sits lower in the knuckle, at least anything substantial. Looks like less than an inch to me if anything. I don't think I'd waste the time or money for such a small gain.
There are plenty of other ways to lower it.

If you do pursue it, don't forget to keep the brake calipers on the original side so that the bleeders are still at the highest point.

If you install the knuckles upside down you will have to deal with the tie rods somehow. That's gonna put the cone facing the wrong way, and probably cause an interference or angle issue somewhere.

It may not be insurmountable, just something to keep in mind.

I had thought of the tie rod ends I thought with it lowered it night keep the geometry close to stock. the pictures I looked at look like about an 1" difference but might be wrong. I was thinking with coils and beams I could get the rear to 6" static while retaining a non cut coil

And it might, I don't have a set here to look at. It sounded like you were asking for thoughts, and so I brought up points that I didn't know if you had considered.

I'm thinking it may be an issue just because the rod ends will have to be flipped over to keep the cones together, which will probably alter the angles some, and steering on those old I-beam trucks can be particular.
