Hey all! So I've replaced the rear speakers in my 88 ranger super cab. I know the dash ones need a custom bracket to fit new speakers, which I made, but nose of the tweeter still protrudes about 1/4" above the dash making the grilles not fit back into place.

I was wondering, if anyone had any remedies or if perhaps looking into have a metal shop stretch the metal grille into more of a bubble shape would be my best plan of action?

Thanks!

I had to use front speakers that didn't have the tall, center-mounted tweeter.

I see this is older, however, when i did those speakers I built the underside up with plexiglass and bolted the speakers to that and this gave the needed space. post #24
