Alright guys HUGE update… and a few questions

ecu, tuner, injectors, new turbo, cheapo afr gauge, new gaskets and bearings all on the way.
next week I’m getting the tuner liscense transferred into my name.
Here’s my question though, I talked to the owner of the company of the tuner… he scared the absolute s*** out of me about tuning it.
Is it really gonna be that hard?
He said they charge 800$ to tune. But after buying all this crap the well has run dry.
I thought I would be able to tune it myself?
Thoughts? opinions? My feet are getting cold.

yes.

opted to have the pro tune it. Idk if you’ve ever looked at the user interface of Binary Editor but I’m too technologically illiterate to use it :p. So the pros are gonna handle it

I had it started and revving to 4k BUT
injectors I had were no good, (knockoffs)
And the AEM wideband (bought directly from their site) was garbage, just as I had been warned.
the factory maf isn’t great for a turbo. He showed me how they are supposed to “bandaid” the curve but I just don’t like it SO;

Swapping to Siemens Deca 60# injectors
Hpx slot maf
Innovate mtxl wideband
And Walbro 255 pump

currently waiting on all the parts except the wideband its wired in and ready. I’ll attach some pictures and I’ll recap a “build list” below because the plan has changed DRASTICALLY since the beginning of this thread.

95 ranger block and 8 plug head.
85 thunderbird internals
New main and rod bearings
Re gasket
New plugs
New timing components
Felpro 1035
Factory replacement head bolts
eBay manifold
Maxspeedingrods t3/t4 .63ar turbo
BigRmotorsports oil feed line
Custom oil drain
Seimen deca 60# injectors
Walbro 255 pump
Slot maf
Front mount intercooler
Amazon piping
1998 ranger 2.5L (FLH2) ECM
moates quaterhorse and BE
Innovate MTX-L
Custom 2.5” downpipe and exhaust
Factory replacement clutch
M5r1 5spd (have a cable t5 just need to convert it to hydro)

This is all before the slot maf conversion so don’t mind the inlet tube
And the downpipe clearance will be remedied before it hits the road.
