Has anyone ever tried to fabricate independent rear suspension for an 86 ranger? Are there any kits? I want the truck to drive more like a car. Its a bit of a rat project and im really taking alot from the appearance of the hoonigan f-series.

My credo
it is easier to fix and understand than "her"
use a 05 explorer chassis.

the expedition center section and shafts with custom arms works good too.

These guys sell a kit that works with the MN12 IRS from Thunderbirds:

There was a member here that had used it. I think his truck was 2 tone, silver with metallic orange. You might be able to find his info with the right search terms. He might've even won "Truck of the month" back in the day if those archives are still around.

Just be aware that the MN12 is much wider than your stock rear end, and has a different bolt pattern than normal Mustang/Ranger stuff.
