Looks like it work a lot better then some of the rust converters I’ve used.
So far, I'm way more than beyond impressed.

Do they suggest a top coat?

Or can you just run it like it is...

They claim it doesn't need a top coat, and I believe them after the 2nd attack with the wire wheel...

But it CAN be coated with a variety of stuff. They reccomend something oil based though if I read correctly.

I'm gonna slap some tractor paint over the top, since it too is about as tough as grandpa's bunions.

How do you know how tough grandpa's bunions are? Have you hit them with the wire wheel? LOL

Oooh. That's a good one.

I could really go for a burger... so I'd say today I'm wimpy.

First step for all the bodywork was to replace both doors with ones that had solid bottoms (need solid bottoms to line the rockers up with)

Got the drivers door replaced so far today. I need to get some body shims to go between the hinge & the door.. the wear marks in the paint on the hinges from the washers are all pretty much lined up, but the "new" door sits a bit too far forward.

This is probably all I'll get done on this today, first 80° day of the year and I'm already noticing it's making me grumpy lol.

Those rockers are miles better than mine 😅

Those spots near my windshield don't look terrible... but they are still bubbling.

Honestly, the cab is kind of going to get a half assed fixing for the meantime. Id need to take it off the frame to fix it properly and I just don't have the time, patience, or room to do that right now. Just wanna drive it. I'll make sure its safe and looks nice enough but yeah... some things are definitely gonna be done quick and dirty.

Few years down the road I'll make the decision between finding a cab in better shape and paying a shop to make it 100% or buying an aftermarket cab.

The only progress on this thing has been acquiring things to help work on it or parts to put in it for the most part.

Just got some HD shackles for the back complete with greasable bolts and poly bushings along with new ubolts for front and rear. Next Friday I should be able to order my new rear springs.. then I can finally start making sizeable chunks of REAL progress.
