83 4x4 in North Knoxville

Hey guys, I am new here just got a 83 ranger 4x4 at a couple of months ago, traded a 95 taurus even for it. Runs good. Had to put a new tranny filter/ fluid, high mileage oil change, and a pcv valve, and a/c belt on it, but it runs fine. I drove it home. I haven't had time to take it off road other than the test drive in 4x4 when I got it. Does anyone know of a site you can get original paint schemes from? Pics soon to come. Also, I got a tailgate cable, but I can't get the bolt to connect to anything on the tailgate, anybody got a scematic of it? Thanks, r1hatman

Yeah, I'm going to lift it about three inches, bullet proof the suspension, get rid of the
15's on it and get some 17's off a newer exploder or expedition if they will fit. Uprade the interior to a newer style charchole grey. I'm going to paint it white and silver and try to find someone to airbrush a flag blowing over it. Rhino linner the bed and underboby. With platinum tint and chrome it out. Oh yeah, and drop a 289 in it and get rid of that 2.8 vacumed, smog controled junk. KH

Nice, sounds like it should be a cool looking truck when its done! Have you considered rhino lining the whole thing? They could probably even do the flag for you, some of the stuff those guys do looks really good.
