So, I'm an idiot and blew out my lockers in my '04 Ranger FX4 Level II. since it is impossible for me to find this axle in washington state, I was going to swap it out with a guy's '96 8.8 4.10 B4000 axle with 10" brakes. No locker for me anymore. I think everything matches up. Will this work or am I retarded? HELP!!!

Right. But, the 96 is a 28 spline and the 04 is a 32. Won't there be some issues because of that?

It's a 31 spline, not 32, and to help you out, you have the same guts as explorers do, so you can get a carrier or LS from an explorer and drop it in your housing....

Only thing you will need is new U bolts as the axle tubes are smaller on the 28 spline housing.

Yeah it should bolt right in, but like SVT said you can just get an explorer axle and steal the innards from it.
