sorry for the slow process but ive been away for a while. a few days ago i seafoam'd her and it made a world of difference, unbelievable. then i put a big ass cherry bomb on her. i never had an adapter on hand to put my dynomax muffler on (3" inlet, dual 2.25" outlet) so i slapped this on for the time being.

brought her down by the house today and pressure washed the chassis.. never mind the custom fuel cell.

then painted the chassis

and here we are

My first 4x4 was a '79 with a 400M/C6. Sweet truck, lots of luck on the build!

This is what mine looked like at it's best:

im putting on the ones i saved from my 79 bronco cause theyre mint and the ones that are on the f150 arent so good as you can see from the pics. so ill paint the new ones when i put em on, i was planning on having them on by now but ive been really busy the last 2 weeks.

heres a pic i took yesterday that is deadly..

brought the misses over tonight to see the ford for the first time.. i figured id try to start her up for the hell of it but figured the battery was weak and she wouldnt start cause we had about 3" of snow last night and it was -2 degrees so she'd kill the battery trying to start, but i pumped the gas a couple times and flicked the key and she fired up perfect.

the gf still said it was a pile though...

Love that body style f-series, when i was younger dad had a 78 two tone brown and tan regular cab long bed with a 460 auto in it. one of his friends had a hot rodded Studebaker truck and he used spin tire everywhere he left. Well dad ran into him the parts store one day and when he pulled out he dropped the F150 in low and hammered down, there where black marks from the parts store to the stop sign 2 blocks down (deffinately had more in her but the stop sign stopped him) guy in the studebaker drove a little easier around dad after that lol. (oh course gas was $0.60 a gallon then *man i sound old lol and I'm only 19* and we used about a 1/4 tank in two blocks) Unfortunately he traded it for a step side Chevy project :-(

But one day I'll have a truck similar to that a 78-79 reg cab long bed hopefully brown, If i have a little money come february or march i might get one when the farm auctions come around.

I also had a friend that worked on a 79 reg cab short bed 4x4 that they pulled about 4 inches of bondo out of the bed side, crazy part is the truck was black and looked straight as an arrow when it came in.
