so i saw this mod in the tech library and i have a few questions. i have a 99 mazda b3000 and my console hinge is not connected to the side of the seat so im guessing there will be no hole?? will this mod ruin the integrity of my seat? if any of you have already done/attempted this mod what are your opinions? how does the seat hold up in the long run? i really want an explorer console and some nice comfortable and factory looking seats any suggestions for new seats all together?? id appreciate any help or comments.

I guess you are referring to cutting the 60/40 down to 2- 40's, or 2 buckets. Well I did the same thing on my 97 ranger. I actually took mine to an upholsterer to get done because I wanted him to add more padding on the seat and back and add a lumbar. I installed a rampage center console and truthfully, it works PERFECT! The structural part of the seat was the main part anyway, the part that is left.
Hope this helps.
