Happy day yall. looking into getting some rear shocks for my 84 its sitting on 2 blocks around 5 inches of lift that im not to fond of. i plan to get some chevy 63's and the belltech 6400's in the next month and ditch the blocks. wondering if anyone sticks with bilstein and has a part number for a rear 4-6 inch. i already have the front taken care of. about to dive into the rear of the truck.

I don't have the pt# off hand, but for 4-6" rear lift you would be looking for shocks with eye-eye mounting that are approx ~29.5" extended (I have their 5125s that length on my Ranger, though the truck is 800 miles from me at the moment so I can't go look for a # on them). Should be easy to find something in Bilstein's catalog though (.PDF, etc.).

Offtopic, any info on that truck in your avatar pic?

No worries that truck is the topic, im looking at shocks for her. its a custom cab 84 ranger 4x4 with the 2.8l v6 manual tranny. frame was extended 4 ft. i have very little to no info regarding truck other than it spent some years as a show truck. my buddies dad owned it from 1996-2012, where i picked it up and have been slowly throwing money at it. Now i have the ability and time to work on it.

it has a rancho 4 inch lift up front with 4 inch longer coils (no spacers) 2 steering dampers. in the rear it has 2 blocks one is 2" and i believe the other is 3" with the arm for the stock bump stop.

they also adopted a dual drive shaft setup to the rear end.

truck is TITS just needs some TLC. I plan to build it into light overland, surf truck/ camping.

ill add some more photos.

That's a cool project that should turn some heads. I've once seen a truck like that, and it was a Toyota I recall. Nice to see a Ranger done that way.

Well, you certainly found the right place to find help... :)

Just FYI, Rancho I don't think made a 4" lift (theirs was a 2.5"), so it's likely another brand. Pics of the front suspension & brackets should bring forth answers what kind of lift is on there.

Edit:
Or did you mean it is a Rancho 2½" with 4" coils? I could actually see that being the case as it's likely a good bit heavier than a std-cab (or even Supercab) truck and would need taller coils to sit at the right height.
