one last thing....swapping a body to a fullsize frame is not the same as building a ranger.

i still have ranger frame rails front to rear....well mostly ranger anyway. theres been some patching and beefing from railing on it over the years.

i will still call my rig rangerish.....but a ranger on something else is just that.

of course by my definition my ranger is a jeep because i swapped a straight axle into it.

just my asshole opinion....and likely not worth the time it took to type it.

this is a post from a different thread but has some fitment relevance.

my engine is quite a bit larger then a 302.....its the difference between a 2.9 and a 351 actually.

but i still can get the t case in a decent position.

so a cummins is not out of the question. just gangly and out of place:icon_rofl:

I know this thread has been long since dead, bit did this guy just give up/not even start. I've seen a few 6bt rangers now... Even some without cutting up the firewall...

In the 26 minutes you’ve been a member, which TRS event have you participated in?
You mean to tell me joining the TRS.com Forums is NOT an event?

There are events? Are they mandatory?
Anything around here?

Yes, there are events. We have a get together/trail ride ever year.
Yes, they are mandatory… where were you this year? (No, they’re not mandatory… just an open invitation to anyone that wants to hang out and put some faces to the screen names we talk to here. We do a little off-roading, some camping, make campfire pizzas, and have a few laughs.)
The past few years we’ve met up at Badlands Offroad park in Attica, Indiana. I don’t know where HERE is, so I can’t answer that question.

Cool.
Pacific NW. So, Indiana's a little far. Went thru there once. Got high toll roads everywhere and the roads weren't too good, so I kept on goin. Don't much believe in tolls here and we got mountains and logging roads if you want it rougher. Course I hear you got a race there with only one rough spot in the road, so that might be cool.
