I may be confusing the two lol The EEC-IV is the pcm that needs piggybacked where as the EEC-V has eprom internally. Maybe lol

Any links for a decent tuner? I'd whole lot rather plug something in and press buttons than to hack through calibration files :D

I am preparing to send my 2000 Explorer ECU to Drag Radial Performance of Ocala, Florida to have a PATS delete and Auto Trans delete as I am using a M5R2 for my swap. I can let you know how much I'm charged for those services.
I received your 2000 Ford Explorer PCM (EQE5). I checked it out, and it powers up and communicates just fine on the bench. I checked for Ford updates, and found that there is a newer calibration (FLN0) available.

I can update your PCM to the latest Ford calibration for $50.
I can delete PATS for $99.95 + $16.95 shipping.
I can delete the auto trans for $100.

If you would like to add a performance tune, I can offer 87 or 93 octane performance tunes for $100 more. I can also offer standalone conversions/custom tuning for $100, if you are installing this engine into an older pre-emissions chassis.

The price will max out at $350 + shipping no matter how many options you select. Let me know what all you would like me to do, and I'll get on it.

Best regards,
Steve Hulett

My credo
it is easier to fix and understand than "her"
Par for non Dyno....fair deal..

By The time you invest in a hpt or sct setup...to do it yourself

Your heading into megasquirt land.

So....with the age and unknown conditions of factory reman processers....

Your way ahead just using brand new technology off the get go.

Going to and adapting eec6 systems and incorporating it via hp tuners is a good way to go as well.

And 1200 into megasquirt is not necessarily the rule .... But typical
