Do you have TWO fuel lines to the 5.0l engine or just ONE fuel line

Around 1997-1998 Ford was switching over from the TWO line Return fuel system, which ran 30psi pressure, to the ONE line Returnless fuel system which ran 55psi fuel pressure

This matters to the computer because it is programmed for the expected fuel pressure so it can calculate how much fuel will flow into the intake if an injectors is open for say 100milliseconds

So if you change 1998 computer 1 fuel line, to a 1997 computer 2 fuel lines then you will also need to change the fuel rail and injectors for 2 line use

You may be able to reduce injector size, never looked into that

Im gonna use a mass air flow mustang harness/computer make it stand alone since I have that and the fuel rail lying around now. I have to pull that dummy distributor and put one in then ill just make a new cluster and im gonna do newer/nicer style ranger later and ill save that other stuff for the next one
