I bought this 88 extended cab 4wd and it has a 4in lift. I'm thinking that the last owner who installed it only bought lift blocks and shoved them under there because whenever the truck hits a bump or anything you can feel it rough. How can I tell if all he did was put lift blocks underneath it? Also is there any way I can tell what brand lift kit was installed? I also installed rough country N3 shocks and it didn't seem to make much of a difference in the ride. Maybe a little bit but not what I was looking for.

Keep your mind like an umbrella, it only works if its open... Continually learning.
In the tech library they show the different lifts installed. You might be able to identify yours through that. Otherwise, take pictures and post them here and someone might spot what you have.

it is easier to fix and understand than "her"
Usually rides better with worn springs.

Blocks can be stacked....that is a cheap lift ...

Factory blocks generally have built in bump stops.

Pictures are golden here

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

Ok. Not a great picture. But here is a view showing OEM blocks with bump stop extensions on a 93 splash.
