4.7s are one of the worst engines Chrysler made... look up their oiling and head design complaints and you'll see why. Total garbage.

Thanks for the heads up. Its a donor all rebuilt drive train. My buddies truck frame is rotting out but was looking to use the drive train to swap.

I'd find someone in need of those parts for a Jeep or Dodge pickup and just sell it off.

Selling a 4.7 would be a moral issue that you may not want to face. Personally I would just throw it in a river to spare anyone else the misfortune of dealing with it.

Yep, the 4.7 is a POS. Had to unload the boy's Durango last year due to low oil pressure.

I've worked on 3. All 3 dropped a valve seat and became boat anchors...

A 4.7L... you might as well swap a 2.9L in and delete the radiator. That should last about the same amount of time.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

Nah, take the guys money, Jeep owners have low standards and apparently enjoy suffering.

What about the marine life, they didn't do anything to deserve having a Chrysler heap dropped of in their living room.
