I have a 2002 SportTrac 4.0L SOHC. It has a lean bank 1 and 2 codes, and idles really rough. I checked the fuel pressure which is fine and and I peformed a tune up, except the fuel filter (don't have the special tool for it). The problem still exists, I've ran injector cleaner through the system. I was woundering if anyone has had this problem and has any helpful advise befor I take it to the dealership. Thanks.

These engines have a weak elbow hose that connects the PCV tubing to the throttle body. It cracks or wears and let too much air in. It is located on the right side of the throttle body near the front. It is under the top radiator hose and you need to move the radiator hose to get to this PCV elbow hose.

Thanks, that seems to have fixed the problem.

I am glad you didn't have to go through all the trouble I did in resolving this same problem. Thanks for posting to let us know what the problem was.
