looking how to adjust idle speed, base idle and with ac on

The computer controls the idle speed. You can clean the throttle body and the idle air control valve, and the computer may control it better, but it has the last say in idle speed.

Had the AC compressor replaced. Before hand the idle would go up maybe 200 RPM when AC was engaged, now no rpm increase. In my experience when ac activated the idle would go up to compensate for load. Am I wrong? TIA.

Mine barely changes. Definitely not 200 rpm. Might blip up at engagement but then drops right back down.

Hard to say how they have it programmed. If the compressor engages and the rpms stay the same, it is definitely compensating for the extra load. Is it supposed to increase the rpms above normal idle rpms? Not sure.

Cleaning the throttle body and the idle air control valve and passages always helps and should be a routine every 50K or so. That may let more air through and increase the idle rpms.
