My 4.0 had been sitting for a few weeks, finally got everything else fixed and now it didn’t wanna start, finally after holding the ignition on for almost 30 seconds it starts, runs like shit but it runs. About the time it got warmed up I noticed fuel pouring down the back of the engine, only spot I’ve found that looks wet is the back of the fuel rail on the driver side, but I don’t wanna tear shit apart unless I have to, any ideas on what’s back there thst could cause a leak?

Ohhnulix,

1st and foremost, stop operating this engine until.you correct this LEAK!!!

-injector seal failure
-fuel pressure regulator
-a fuel line connection
-compromised fuel rail

Since you will need to take this apart to repair it:
-disconnect the battery
-depressurize the fuel system
-its easier to do this with the upper intake manifold removed
-get all new injector "O"rings and hats no matter what
-clean the injectors, while it's apart

Also and IMPORTANT, you can test your repair before reinstalling the upper intake manifold 😉
