Ok, i took it off and put weather stripping around it and stuffed foam into the hole and my cab still leaks, what else can it be? Maybe i put the weather stripping on wrong? Can someone demonstrate the right way to do it?

My credo
Toonces drives a Ranger . . . . just not very well.
Try getting a new stock gasket, for the light assembly, and also check the lens; unless I'm mistaken the lens also has a gasket. What year is your truck?

I had the same problem with my 3rd barke light after I added two more bulbs (so the whole thing lights up not just the middle) mine is an '03 and the lense is sealed to the base. I just ran a small bead of gasket sealer around the base and screwed it back onto the truck, then wiped off the excess before it dried. Haven't had a leak since.

My 87 SuperCab had this problem and the gasket and all others in the jy that I found were hardened and cracked. I had a partial tube of butyl rubber (black) for window sealing around, so I put on a pair of mechanics nitrile gloves, squirted a generous amount of sealer into my hand and massaged it into all the cracks in my old gasket being careful not to break it. Then I wiped most of the excess off with clean gloves and installed the light with the gasket. Once installed, I used another clean glove and my finger to smooth the gasket's outer surface. Works great and you can't tell unless you get right up to it and look closely.

I just ran a bead of clear silicone across the top of the light and down the sides. Worked on my 2001.
