3rd brake light affect transmission shifting like on some of the F series?

Random question, I was wanting to put LED lights in all of my external lighting, but I know on the OBS F series, the 3rd brake light instead of the brake switch was tied into the overdrive control and leds would cause all kinds of wonky issues. So my question is this, does the same hold true for a 2001 sport trac 4.0sohc and auto trans? Or am I good to go in that aspect?

You sure its the 3rd brakelight?

I always heard the converter lockup was ran through the flasher circuit.

Running over 25mph with the hazards on would eat the trans after a while
