I mounted mine behind the left side of the front bumper.

Mine is on the left side mounted to the sheet metal under the charcoal canister. I had hydraulic lines made at CarQuest for $90.

Guys, which way are the hoses routed? Does it matter? The adapter i just mounted on the frame rail is stamped "IN" and "OUT".

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
If it had to guess. I would put oil pump supply pressure to the outside of the filter and return from the center. Most filters are set up to catch the dirt on the outside of the media.

But wait for someone to confirm. Have you googled it?

And so i just got finished mounting it there!
The tire is going to throw crap on the filter and may hit it on a full rt turn. Please be careful attaching the hoses-"out" on the filter bypass goes to "in" on the filter adapter, if they're backwards the drain back valve will stop the oil flow.

I mounted mine on the inside of the passenger side frame rail and tucked the hoses under the oil pan. FWIW I also used tractor hydraulic hoses... those hose barb ones are junk, they will leak. Mine are going on 10 years old now and are nice and dry.

19 Walt, i would have never known that IN goes to OUT and visa versa if i didnt READ the instructions!!

Oh, im moving it over to the left more. On full right lock the tire sits about 2" under the filter. On full suspension compression it will be a disaster. Thanks for pointing that out. Duh.

Don't feel dumb. Would you like to guess how I know about the drain back valve blocking the oil flow?
