Y did u go with those motor mount and plate setup when most people on here say to use advanced adapters mounts or convertible foxbody 5.0 mounts?
I like easy.

If you spend the money on a mock block, you can probably recoup your money trading it back and forth with other people....
On the plastic mock or the real deal block?I probably could.i don't usually c people asking for mock blocks much

He had it listed as an '84 with no pics which is kinda meh, for the '87 roller I knew it to be as soon as I saw the intake and a few numbers I was all over it.
When u c deals like that u definitely need to jump all over it.

Here is a pic with the new motor,
Nothing special had to be done.
This is a 87 block

And the old one.
Was a 98 block,
I had to cut a relief in the adapter plate in one side for a slight difference in the casting.

vs

I plan on trying the sn95 mounts.i was told there the exact same as the foxbody 5.0 very mounts.which sn95 is my donor car.we LL c how those work.i was told they make engine sit a tad higher that your regular plate rubber mounts do.but not sure how much more to make a difference
I know which one I like better...

Also fun fact, you have to notch your frame for the SN mounts, if you go to far your engine will forever want to shift around. Somewhere a ways down on my to-do list is to go back to V6 mounts with plates. Everything about the SN mounts is a letdown to me.

They were popular a few years ago, like back when I did my swap.

Yeah, 88400's.

They fit my truck great but I am not sure how they would fit without a bodylift, the PS collector goes straight back.

I did take the plastic shield off and have since upgraded to a second gen steering stub shaft with a u-joint rather than two rag joints.

Because they are intended for an earlier engine with the dipstick in the timing cover, do not use a braided dipstick if yours has it in the block. Lokar is pictured, it would wipe the oil off the stick. I did find a Ford Racing for a Mustang that fit and works great though.

For a 2wd, the shelby tri-y's would be my go to. They drop right on with a 157t bellhousing (like a T-5), can be made to fit with the 164t (like an AOD/4R70W). I had a set and was going to run them before I deemed them completly incompatable with a 4wd. It isn't supposed to be too bad to make them fit the bigger bellhousing but I haven't done it, given their popularity with Mustangs the info has to be out there.

So the sn95s has the 157t not the 164t flywheel? bird 76 mojo has the 88400s on his truck just like mine and he said they fit great so that's what I got.hopefully they fit mine and well as his with the t5 manual.the tri Ys clears everything no problem?starter and slave cylinder?
