Did you weld bevel all the butt joints of the frame or just weld them without any weld prep?

Some grinding on the edges, we didn't go to crazy, my friend built literally 300 plus different chassis for T's A's 32's you name it over 20 some years in the business. He only had one break and that was when a customer decided after the T bucket was built to go from a 383 chevy to a blown alcohol hemi that made close to 1200hp and it was where the axle was mounted in the front got severely mangled from the front end slamming down from coming off the ground. 🤣 so he built the guy a new chassis and its still holding together with that engine from what I hear.

Long story short I trust his judgment on what we need to do and not do.

My credo
If you don't have time to do it right will you have time to do it over?
If you bake parts in her oven you're likely to end up on a food free diet. Consider carefully.

I washed a pair of VW cylinder heads in the dishwasher once...

It was an important lesson to learn.

Similar to my Model A, except I design a triangulated four bar.

Food for thought: I had to Z the rear frame to get the rear crossmember high enough for the stance to be correct. The goal being to get the axle C/l to match the C/L of the rear wheel well arches.

You can see the Z in the photo below.

And how the tire radius matches Henry's wheel well arches. Sits just about right for an old school stance. If it was 2" higher... not a good look.

Im going 40's stance high and level. I might not even have to notch the frame that much. We will see on Sunday what we gotta do.
