do you think i could get a newer windstar 3 piece intake to fit my '93 ranger 2 piece?

what are your thought on this my good fellows?

any of the newer composite plenums off of a 3.0 will fit. IIRC, you need to drill out the plenum bolt holes to fit the larger bolts used on the older motors. swapping the lower intake will get you nowhere since its the same aluminum casting that came out in the 80's.

Thanks Wicked, What about the hookups for the throttle body. Are they generally compatible with my 93, electrically wise. The connections may be different, but i can get past that if it is the only problem.

i dont believe the OBDII throttle position sensor will work with your EEC-IV. im not sure what the few people that have done this swap did to overcome this....your original TPS may very well bolt to the newer TB.

hmmm, well I'll just have to buy and see if the electrics work

if they don't then i have a neat hood ornament........

i know it can easily be adapted, you'll just have to sort out the details since ive never actually done it. you might try giving boss3.0 over at RPS a pm, i think hes done the swap and could probably fill in the blanks.
