I dont remember it ...the taurus v8 as a Vulcan pattern. But as duratech v6 which I think has 2 patterns. They were cast at Windsor....sent to Japan...and sent back with suicidal cam gears and valvetrain.

The intech v8 iirc....was the same bolt pattern...the bigger of the two. Some duratech engines had two patterns...now I need to dig that shit up...

But....there can be caveats.

They are not tiny like a ohv cologne

The bird / ls 3.9 is a jag engine....rwd.. They were cast over here too if I remember that right. But I don't remember what actual pattern they use. Those are like the cyclones with 50 thousand bolt holes.

I had a file with it all at one point. I have the seperator plates somewhere at home.

The SHO v8 or V6 will bolt up to the M5OD?
The SHO V6 is based off the Vulcan V6, so yes, it will bolt up to a Vulcan M5OD.

The SHO V8 is based off the Duratech V6 - its basically a Duratech 25 with 2 more cylinders.
The Vulcan M5OD will not bolt up to it.
I'm not sure if the Duratech 23 I4 has same pattern as the V6 which would allow that M5OD to be used or not.
Escapes use both the Duratech 23 I4 and 30 V6, which is basically just a bored out Duratech 25. I haven't researched if Ford changed the bell house patterns on both the engines and transaxles between the I4 & V6 or not. Noting the Duratech 30 VVT makes more power on 87 octane than the SHO V8 does on 93.

That's what I was saying. The duratech 6 has two patterns I have seen. The L is seperate from those. I did not verify the intech as the larger pattern .

Most of those engines do not have seperator plates.

Why not keep it original? It would bring more money if it were original....

Do you know where to get an original motor for a 47 Crosely?

Projects don't make money. Ever. Period. You do what you do because you love it. If you wanna make money, restoring or customizing cars is not an option.

Frame is split. They really are not worth much anyway. It's kinda like a Studebaker they are more rare than the Ford and Chevy of their time and they were setting al sorts of records but a restored studebaker is worth significantly less than a restored ford or Chevy.

I believe the 3.4 was a 2.5 duratec pattern and a 3.5 was Vulcan

So I have no clue what we should do engine wise....

Someone suggested a Toyota Hemi 4 cylinder.
